Terms of Service

Welcome to Veilo. By downloading, installing, or using Veilo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

Veilo is a privacy-focused vault for storing photos, videos, and files on your mobile device, with optional cloud backup on paid plans. Features include PIN and biometric unlock, decoy vault, break-in alerts, and cloud sync, depending on your plan.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Veilo.
  • You are responsible for keeping your PIN, recovery phrase, and recovery email safe.
  • If you lose all recovery methods, we cannot restore your vault — by design, no one but you holds the keys.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Veilo to store or share content that is illegal, abusive, or that violates the rights of others. We may suspend accounts found to be misusing the service.

4. Subscriptions and billing (Auto-renewable)

  • Veilo offers a Free plan and paid Pro ($4.99/mo or $39.99/yr) and Pro Max ($9.99/mo or $79.99/yr) plans. Prices may vary by country and are shown in your local currency at checkout.
  • Title of subscription: Veilo Pro / Veilo Pro Max. Length of subscription: 1 month or 1 year, depending on the plan selected.
  • Yearly plans include a 7-day free trial. Any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your account settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.

5. Refunds

Refund requests are handled per our Refund Policy and the rules of the App Store or Google Play.

6. Your content

You own everything you put in your vault. We never claim rights to your content. Because your data is encrypted, we cannot access or moderate it.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Veilo reliable but provide the service "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for data loss caused by lost recovery credentials, device failure, or jailbroken/rooted devices.

8. Termination & account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from in-app Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing support@veilo.link. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

9. Apple App Store — additional terms (EULA)

  • This agreement is concluded between you and Veilo only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for Veilo.
  • In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
  • Veilo, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • Veilo, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

10. Google Play — additional terms

If you obtained Veilo through Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for Veilo or its content.

11. Family Sharing

Veilo subscriptions are linked to the Apple ID or Google account that purchased them. Family Sharing / Google Play Family Library is not currently enabled for Veilo subscriptions: a Veilo Pro or Pro Max plan unlocks the vault only for the purchasing account. If we enable Family Sharing in a future release, the change will be announced in-app.

12. Export compliance

Veilo includes cryptography. You may not use, export, or re-export the app in violation of U.S. export laws or the laws of any other applicable jurisdiction. You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national of, any country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

13. Intellectual property & DMCA

Veilo respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content stored or transmitted via Veilo infringes your copyright, send a notice including the works claimed, identification of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner to:

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Veilo operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting support@veilo.link. If that fails, the dispute will be resolved by the courts of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause limits any non-waivable consumer protection rights you have under local law (including EU/EEA, UK, and certain US state laws).

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
